Today I experienced one of the most important lessons in trading firsthand. Excited, I invested 9 USDT in Bitcoin, buying when the price was at $117,000. My goal was simple: sell at $122,000, expecting a quick profit.
And yes, Bitcoin rose to $122,000! I executed my sell order, but the joy was short-lived. Upon checking my balance, I discovered that my 9 USDT had turned into only 7 USDT. What happened? The commissions hit me hard. I didn't take them into account when calculating my potential profit.
This experience taught me that it's not enough to predict the price movement. Ignoring commissions is a costly mistake. Learning from this and adjusting my strategy is key for next time!
