Zuckerberg aims for 2026 for the first multi-gigawatt facilities
Zuckerberg revealed on his Threads feed that the inaugural data center, dubbed Prometheus, is scheduled to begin operations in 2026. A second site, named Hyperion, will eventually increase its capacity to around five gigawatts of power in the coming years. He added that “We are also building multiple titan clusters. Just one of these covers a significant part of Manhattan's footprint,” highlighting the magnitude of the project.
