1. A big brother with an annual income of over 100 million told me that when I understand the significance of the following two sentences, I will be not far from an annual income of 10 million.
The first sentence is:
To make money through physical labor, one must be more honest.
To make money through mental effort, one must be more flexible.
To make money through capital (especially in cryptocurrency/stock market), one must be more ruthless.
To make money through resources, one must be more tactful.
To make money through people, one must be more open-minded.
While I was still pondering, the big brother quickly mentioned another sentence, which is the core thinking of the wealthy.
The big brother said: For ordinary people, if I have ten points of resources, I would only dare to do ten points of things.
2. The thinking of the wealthy is exactly the opposite; they first determine their goals and then seek resources to match. As long as they have this mindset, there is almost nothing that cannot be accomplished. If there is no one, they will find someone; if the funds are insufficient, they will borrow money. Under this mindset, even enemies can collaborate, and competitors can achieve win-win situations. The wealthy are particularly adept at breaking down goals, splitting big goals into many small action points. These action points can be further broken down, becoming increasingly detailed. Ultimately, regardless of the goal, it will be easy to achieve and execute. At the same time, the wealthy will seek corresponding resources for these broken-down action points. In this state, their execution ability will be very powerful.
3. The big brother noticed I was deep in thought and calmly continued. The biggest difference between the wealthy and ordinary people is that ordinary people are always in a state of preparation. When you seek cooperation from ordinary people, they will say they are accumulating connections, lacking funds, or that the timing isn't right. In their perception, success can only come after all conditions are met. Meanwhile, the wealthy are always in an action state; as the saying goes, 'Train soldiers for a thousand days, use them for a moment.' They are always organizing resources and solving problems in action. How can ordinary people, who only talk about strategies on paper, compare with the wealthy? The wealthy's mindset is not closely related to whether they have money at the moment; as long as they possess this mindset, wealth will come sooner or later.
4. Money is not something to earn for a lifetime, but rather to seize opportunities and earn in the short span of two to three years what others may not earn in their entire lifetime. So, if you think now is your most profitable time, please tell yourself not to stop and rest, okay? Because you may not know when the next opportunity like this will come; once missed, it may never return.
5. The cost of time is the highest cost. If you can hire someone to learn, then do so; if you can hire someone to solve a problem, don’t try to solve problems you are not skilled in yourself. Trying to solve problems you are not good at is foolish behavior. Those who make money through entrepreneurship are not all-rounders.
6. Do not associate with people on different frequencies. If you cannot make a decisive decision, you will be led by the nose. If your current situation is not good, you must leave your current circle. Only look up, only look towards those who are above you. Remember, never lower your head or be at eye level with others, because this will make you complacent and even regress. Trust me, doing this will only help you face the reality of the gap and strive to achieve your goals, narrowing the distance.
7. Never care about others' opinions of you. Remember, anyone, especially those who have nothing to do with you, many just want to belittle you, intentionally look down on you, do not wish for your happiness, and even attack you out of jealousy. Please remember, these will only burden your soul. If you care too much about these people, you will lose to them. The sage Wang Yangming made it clear long ago how to control emotions; there is only one answer: do not take emotions seriously. If you care too much about what others think of you, you are destined to fail, trapped in your own mind. Remember, in this world, apart from life and death, nothing else is important; not even minor injuries count. You can never satisfy everyone; the worst side of human nature is that it cannot stand to see others live better than itself.
8. Never feel inferior, and never think of yourself as lower than others. How much money a person has is not related to you. Many people overly admire those who show off, but these people are merely pretending. Truly wealthy individuals are not judged by what they wear, what car they drive, or what they eat, but by their social circles. If a person's social circle is very high-level, there is a 90% chance they have real strength. If a person is left only with glamorous clothing and a so-called luxury car, that is just for show, and in reality, their pockets are emptier than their faces. You have no reason to feel inferior; you are always yourself.
9. Time is limited. Ask yourself how old you are this year. The things that make you unhappy usually last only a few seconds, and those few seconds can affect your emotions for a long time. Do you think it's worth it? Do you remember the evening of July 5, 2013, and March 26, 2019, at 7:30 PM? Do you remember who you argued with? You have definitely forgotten everything; you can't even recall a trivial matter from three years ago at 5 PM. It was just that you were angry at that time, so you wished to be happy. Think long-term; never let a single event affect you. That is merely mental consumption. When you grow old, you will only regret what you didn't do when you were young, not what you did. So enjoy life, make yourself a little happier, and life will have meaning. What is optimism? Optimism is seeing through the essence of life. You may dislike a certain person, but you still love life. Life is filled with difficulties and challenges; happiness and unhappiness are just a day.
10. Doing business requires accurate vision and decisive judgment.
Yahoo's Filo and Yang Zhiyuan loved watching sumo; they enjoyed the feeling of sumo wrestlers battling in the ring, especially when one side overwhelmed another, leaving no chance to breathe. Bill Gates and Yang Zhiyuan both said, 'I don't like losing; I like winning in competition.'
11. A true strong person is ruthless. The so-called mercy towards enemies is cruelty towards oneself. There are many historical stories of enduring hardship that serve as the best examples. King Fu Chai of Wu lost his kingdom and reputation because of a moment's mercy, giving King Gou Jian of Yue a chance to recover.
When Fu Chai begged Gou Jian for mercy, do you think Gou Jian would let him live? Your competitors will not consider a win-win situation with you; they will only use so-called connections to make you believe in the illusion of a win-win outcome. In the end, they will win alone. Therefore, when you observe world-class business players, they always strive to suppress their competitors, defeating them thoroughly, leaving no chance for them to lift their heads!
12. How to become a wolf that eats sheep. We have all heard the story of wolves eating sheep. A wolf was drinking water by the river when a sheep was drinking downstream. The wolf loudly declared that it would eat the sheep, claiming that the sheep dirtied its river water. The sheep rebutted that it was the wolf that drank upstream, and it couldn't possibly dirty the river water. The wolf found another better reason, saying that the sheep's ancestors dirtied the river water upstream, and it must take responsibility, so it would still eat the sheep. Thus, the poor sheep became the wolf's meal.
Do not pity the sheep or sympathize with its plight, nor fight for the sheep, or shed tears of sympathy. Blame it for being a sheep, destined to be eaten by the big bad wolf; the sheep has no right to judge right from wrong because people believe the words of the winners more. Therefore, the truth of life is both beautiful and cruel. I tell these harsh facts to the friend who wants to resign in hopes that she can survive in this cruelty. If you truly love someone, you must understand that love is not just about care; it also includes cruelty. Love that is not cruel is not complete love.
When chicks cannot survive on their own, the hen will forcefully drive them away. Even if the chicks come close to the hen, she will peck them fiercely. Only in this way can the chicks be forced to learn how to survive.
In society, you cannot become a wolf. Even if you possess happiness, it is merely a fleeting illusion because everything you currently have will eventually be taken by another pack of wolves due to your status as a sheep.
The evolutionary method of nature is to retain the strong and eliminate the weak. This is both cruel and beautiful!
13. A famous economist once said a harsh truth: when the economy is good, you still haven't gotten rich, and now that the economy is bad, you still expect to get rich. Isn't that just making things difficult for yourself? Therefore, in the current economic situation, maintaining a healthy body is the most important. Pay attention to your diet, especially for older individuals; do not eat too greasy, and minimize salt and oil. Some diseases can be prevented. Smoke less, or ideally not at all; drink alcohol in moderation, ensure adequate sleep, and try to go to bed before midnight. Walk more, control your weight; many diseases are related to obesity.
14. The speed of information dissemination is extremely fast now, and there is essentially no interest margin. Those things that seem easy to make money from or involve low investment risks are mostly traps. A gentleman does not stand under a dangerous wall; ordinary people have almost no ability to turn things around, and one misstep can lead to total defeat. Therefore, investments must be very cautious. Remember, anything that teaches you how to make money is trying to earn your money.
15. Do not guarantee for others because you cannot control the risks. If a problem arises, it could lead to the loss of all your property. I have a friend whose father guaranteed for his best friend, but now the friend is unable to repay and has even gone missing, ultimately leaving all the debt on him. He had to sell his house and a shop he had operated for over twenty years, and it still wasn't enough to pay off the debt. Eventually, the couple went to Guangdong to work to repay the debt. A formerly happy and prosperous family is now in trouble. This lesson is truly painful.
16. Maintain a good mindset, interact more with superiors, and less with peers. Focus more on your feelings, stay away from negative energy people, and maintain a good mindset and physical health. This way, you will appear younger and more energetic, while also reducing the occurrence of illnesses.
17. Stabilize your emotions. When the economy is bad, many people's emotions become overly tense, evolving from tension to anxiety, then to impulsiveness. Negative emotions spread and only worsen the situation. In the face of sudden changes, maintain clarity, stabilize your emotions, and avoid saying things you shouldn't. Many times, trouble comes from careless words. Speak less behind others' backs, be cautious in your actions, and avoid meddling in others' affairs; take care of yourself and do not argue with others. If you must endure, then endure; only then can you calmly handle the ups and downs.
18. The weak always live in beautiful illusions. I have a female friend who found a job; she is very honest but is often bullied by her colleagues. After a while, she couldn't bear the internal pressure and wanted to resign. I told her, if you are a sheep, you will be eaten by a big bad wolf wherever you go, or even tricked around by a fox. I told her that wherever you work, as long as you are a victim, you will encounter perpetrators. I told her she has two choices: either be the sheep that gets eaten, or become the wolf that eats sheep.
If you do not want to be bullied by others, if you do not want to be the sheep that gets eaten, then you must understand the thinking of seasoned veterans in the business world and even need to master the various rules of the game in business warfare.
I told the friend who wanted to resign these harsh truths in hopes that she could survive in this cruelty. If you truly love someone, you must understand that love is not just about care; it also includes cruelty. Love is only complete when it is not devoid of cruelty.
When chicks cannot survive on their own, the hen will forcefully drive them away. Even if the chicks come close to the hen, she will peck them fiercely. Only in this way can the chicks be compelled to learn how to survive.
Let’s encourage each other!
