The supply of $BTC is at the historical low point of the exchange. We are experiencing a supply shock, which may explain why it has been continuously draining. There isn't enough BTC on the exchange.
In just the past month, over 45,300 BTC ($5.5 billion) have been transferred out of the exchange. In the past year, over 500,000 BTC ($61 billion) have been withdrawn.
Maybe this is what Cobi meant:
"The difficult road is from 80,000 to 100,000. The easy road is from 100,000 to 250,000."
