CoinVoice has recently learned that Jin Ten Data reported that after SpaceX prepared to invest $2 billion in xAI, Musk stated that Tesla plans to hold a shareholder vote on whether to invest in xAI. Musk responded to a post on X, saying that any decision to support xAI ultimately isn't for him to make. Last year, Musk publicly asked X users whether Tesla should invest $5 billion in xAI, at which time he wrote that he was just testing the waters.

But he indicated at the time that the Tesla board and supporters needed to greenlight the decision. Tesla disclosed in April that xAI was a customer of Tesla last year, incurring $188.3 million in expenses under a business, consulting, and support agreement. Most of this transaction ($191 million) involved xAI purchasing Tesla's utility-scale energy storage battery, Megapack. [Original link]
