A unified council that guides the technical and ecosystem strategy of the WalletConnect network and the broader on-chain ecosystem.
Why is this important?
Institutions, wallets, and applications need a secure, seamless, and trustworthy on-chain user experience. This council brings together different voices to guide proposals, influence the roadmap, and ensure that WalletConnect remains the connective layer of the financial internet.
Members include core developers, wallet builders, blockchain developers, node operators, community leaders, and enterprise projects. Over the next 24 months, decision-making power will be fully transferred to the council, achieving true decentralization and transparency.

A proposal to redesign WCT staking to make it simpler, more predictable, and more flexible—featuring permanent staking, user-triggered unlocking, and new duration options.
