SpaceX plans to invest $2 billion to support xAI, accelerating Musk's integration of his empire

【Global Network Technology Comprehensive Report】On July 13, according to Reuters citing The Wall Street Journal, SpaceX has committed to invest $2 billion in the artificial intelligence company xAI founded by Elon Musk, participating in the latter's total equity financing of $5 billion. After the transaction is completed, the overall valuation of xAI after merging with X (formerly Twitter) will reach $113 billion.

It is reported that Grok, a chatbot under xAI, is now providing intelligent Q&A for SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet service and plans to further integrate it into Tesla's Optimus robot in the future. This funding injection will be used to expand the scale of model training and infrastructure construction to support xAI's ongoing competition with rivals like OpenAI.

Foreign media reported that despite recent controversies over some generated content from Grok, Musk still publicly referred to it as "the smartest artificial intelligence in the world." So far, neither SpaceX nor xAI has responded to requests for comments.
