Bitcoin Storage: A Security Upgrade from Exchanges to Cold Wallets

In the early days, I kept my Bitcoin on exchanges, thinking convenience was enough. It wasn't until I saw incidents like the Mt. Gox hack that I realized the importance of security. So, I purchased a hardware wallet (like Ledger) and transferred most of my BTC into cold storage, leaving only a small amount for trading. Controlling the private keys means truly 'owning' Bitcoin. This change has allowed me to sleep more soundly and has deepened my understanding of the meaning of 'Not your keys, not your coins'.
