The Future of Pi Network: The Importance of the Purity Badge

As of today, I can confidently state that even if 10 billion Pi coins are in circulation, only a small fraction of these coins—less than 1 million—will actually function at the Global Consensus Value (GCV). Why? The key factor lies in the Purity Badge—a badge that represents the authenticity of Pi coins and their eligibility to participate in the Pi ecosystem.#TradingStrategyMistakes #ArbitrageTradingStrategy #BTCBreaksATH #ETHBreaks3k #BinanceTurns8

The Purity Badge: What You Need to Know

Many Pi coins have already been transferred to exchanges, and once this happens, the Purity Badge ✅ is lost forever. This loss of the badge prevents these coins from being able to operate within the Pi network at their true value. Dr. Nicolas, one of the key figures behind Pi Network, once remarked, "Every Pi is scarce and valuable. Those who persevere to the end will achieve great things."

Additionally, Dr. Chengdiao Fan emphasized the uniqueness of Pi, stating, "10 Pi is enough for a generation. Pi is non-conformist." These statements underline the long-term vision for Pi—where those who remain committed to the network will see the highest value in their coins.

What’s Coming: The Global Mainnet Launch

The Pi Network is set to transition to its global open mainnet soon, and with this major step, several exciting updates will take place.

  • Pi Gas Fee Reduction: The cost of transactions will decrease as the network becomes fully operational.

Pi Blockchain Contract Address: Pi coins will be recognized under the official Pi Blockchain Network.

Increased Network Nodes: Up to 300 computer nodes will be activated, further decentralizing the network.

Pi Browser Update: The Pi Browser will show the true value of Pi coins on the Pi Blockchain Explorer, allowing users to see the dollar equivalent of their available Pi balance in their Pi Wallet.

Two Types of Pi Balances

Once the migration to the mainnet happens, there will be two types of Pi balances in your wallet:

  1. Contribution Balance: These are Pi coins that were mined and never transferred to any exchange. Coins with this balance will retain the Purity Badge ✅ and will function at the Global Consensus Value (GCV).

  2. Non-Contribution Balance: These are Pi coins that have been transferred to exchanges at some point in the past. Once transferred, the Purity Badge ✅ is lost forever, and these coins will not function at GCV.

How to Retain Your Purity Badge ✅

To ensure your Pi coins retain the Purity Badge and can operate at GCV, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Create a Pi account.

  2. Mine for at least 30 days to start accumulating Pi.

  3. Complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification.

  4. Join the migration queue to ensure your coins are transitioned to the mainnet with the Purity Badge.

Once the migration is complete, any Pi coins transferred from your mining app to your Pi Browser wallet will come with the Purity Badge ✅. However, if you transfer these coins to a crypto exchange, the Purity Badge will be lost permanently—even if the coins are transferred back to the Pi network later.

What’s Next for Pi Network?

The Pi Network is at an exciting stage of development. The transition to the mainnet marks a crucial step toward its vision of providing decentralized, borderless cryptocurrency to the world. Those who have remained loyal and stuck with Pi will see the long-term benefits.
