Tether Discontinues USDT Support on 5 Blockchains
Tether has officially announced the discontinuation of USDT support on the following five blockchain networks:
Omni Layer
Bitcoin Cash (SLP) $BCH
Kusama $KSM
EOS
The reason is straightforward: these networks have shown very low usage and trading activity. Tether is choosing to focus its efforts on more active and widely adopted blockchains such as Ethereum, TRON, and Solana.
This decision is aimed at improving operational efficiency and maintaining a secure and reliable stablecoin ecosystem.
