Volkswagen has closed another one of its factories — it produced Volkswagen Passat and Skoda Superb.
The SAIC Volkswagen factory in Nanjing ceased operations after 17 years. The joint venture SAIC and Volkswagen factory located in Nanjing (Jiangsu Province) has closed in China. The manufacturing base was built in 2008 and had a production capacity of 360,000 vehicles per year — the site produced Volkswagen Passat and Skoda Superb.
