Coinbase Announces Integration of ClearLoop to Enable Seamless Off-Exchange Settlement
By integrating the ClearLoop network of Copper, Coinbase intends to enable users to seamlessly access Copper’s off-exchange settlement as well as its collateral management forum. In this respect, the platform minimizes counterparty risk while also enhancing capital efficiency. Simultaneously, it leverages the multi-party computation (MPC) technology of Copper, letting users securely store digital assets. At the same time, they can also benefit from rapid settlement speeds while using Coinbase International Exchange for trading.
Apart from that, ClearLoop permits institutional clients to instantly delegate assets. In this respect, it enhances capital efficiency apart from decreasing network fees, parallel to helping in protection against diverse operational risks. This paves the way for agile management of collateral to rapidly adapt to changing market conditions. Additionally, the expedited settlement cycle of ClearLoop offers investors the ability to settle trades on the infrastructure of Copper for efficient and secure collateral management.
Coinbase introduced Coinbase International Exchange back in 2023 to fortify its status in the worldwide crypto derivatives ecosystem. For this purpose, it allowed traders to access perpetual futures. At present, the platform provides more than 150 assets with a comprehensive liquidity along with a 20x leverage. While expressing enthusiasm concerning this development, Coinbase International Exchange’s CEO, Marc Zeitoouni, stated that this move shows the firm’s commitment to offering efficient infrastructure for institutions.
Driving Security and Operational Efficiency Parallel to Rapid Settlement
Additionally, Copper’s Global CEO, Amar Kuchinard, stated that this partnership is a milestone in establishing an effective digital asset industry. According to Coinbase, this integration enhances security and improves operational efficiency with rapid settlement. Hence, both Copper and Coinbase attempt to deliver an unparalleled institutional experience.
