Trading is neither magic nor luck. It's a system. However, mistakes in strategy happen to everyone, even to those who have been in the market for years.
Here are the most common “pitfalls” that traders fall into repeatedly:
1️⃣ Ignoring the plan.
Have a strategy? Good job. Now follow it. Don't “rethink” in the middle of a trade, don't go short just because “it might turn around now.” That's not intuition—it's emotions.
2️⃣ The desire to recover losses.
You went into the red—and immediately “double the lot” to get back. But the market says: “Are you sure? Hold on to more losses.” Don't take revenge on the market. It’s not a person; it doesn’t care.
3️⃣ Blindly copying others' signals.
You look at a top trader and think: “Oh, he knows!” But you don’t know his risk management, entry point, or patience. Without understanding, it's just a lottery.
4️⃣ Lack of strategy testing.
Before putting money on the line, spend time on backtesting and paper trading. Is it boring? Is losing your deposit fun?
💡 Trading is like sports: discipline is more important than inspiration. Mistakes will happen, but learning from them is what makes a trader real.
