The Ethereum Foundation has published a blog post detailing the network’s roadmap toward full zero-knowledge proof (ZK) adoption, beginning with the launch of a Layer 1 zkEVM. Within a year, validators will have the option to run ZK clients to verify proofs from various zkVMs, eliminating the need for block re-execution.
