Foresight News reports that Hsiao-Wei Wang, co-executive director of the Ethereum Foundation, tweeted this morning that the address that sold 1,210 ETH does not belong to the foundation, but to Argot Collective, a non-profit development organization that was previously spun off from the foundation. Earlier, the Ethereum Foundation announced that it would provide three years of operating funding to Argot Collective to continue supporting its work on the Solidity language and other critical open-source infrastructure for Ethereum.

Foresight News previously reported that, according to Ashes Monitoring, the Ethereum Foundation sold 1,210 ETH today in exchange for approximately 3.496 million USDC, with a selling price of $2,889.5. In the last month or so, the Ethereum Foundation transferred 21,000 ETH to an address starting with 0xc06, which transferred 7,000 ETH to an address starting with 0x247 six days ago.
