Good afternoon, brothers! I am a retail trader who doesn't delete blog posts. One is one, and wrong is wrong. Today I will reflect on the short position opened at 116 on July 9!
First, congratulations on today's Bitcoin breaking through 116,900 and Ethereum breaking through 3,000 dollars.
Secondly, I will reflect on myself. On July 10, I opened a short position on Bitcoin at 111,600, with a target of only 109,500. Unfortunately, I still stopped out at 112,600, losing 1,000 points. You don't need to be curious about how much oil it was.
Let me explain here that those who have followed me for a long time should know that I am a die-hard bull, the type of person who would rather miss out than go short.
You can see from my historical blog posts that I have been bullish all the way, calling for bullish positions when Bitcoin was at 20,000, still bullish when it was at 70,000, accumulating Ethereum at 1,700, at 2,000, and at 2,300. In recent days, I have been reminding everyone to definitely go long at lower prices and be prepared for a breakout.
As for this short position, I don't know if the brothers in the square followed me. I actually made a profit of 1,000 points and didn't close the position because my target was only 109,500. In the end, I lost track of the market and was instantly stopped out by the market makers, regrettably exiting.
Why did I go short? Because there was no news in the market, and on-chain, only some institutions were increasing their positions, which led me to misjudge this wave. I thought Bitcoin would not quickly break the new high this week; it might be next week. Setting aside Bitcoin and Ethereum's spot prices, I also had long positions in Ethereum contracts, so things didn't go as planned. This week saw a sharp rise, and I was stopped out, but since I had long positions in Ethereum, it wasn't too disastrous.
In summary: Stop loss on Bitcoin short, looking to push Ethereum long, and the losses have been minimized. Join the bulls and make the cryptocurrency world better...
