According to a report by CCTV News, there has recently been another information security breach within the U.S. government. Secretary of State Rubio was impersonated on the instant messaging platform 'Signal', with his voice mimicked by artificial intelligence technology, and subsequently contacted multiple government officials. Currently, the U.S. State Department has launched an investigation into the matter. The Washington Post reported on the 9th that an internal cable from the government indicated that in mid-June this year, a highly deceptive account was created on the 'Signal' platform, deliberately mimicking Rubio's email address. Using AI software, the impersonator replicated Rubio's voice and began to carry out fraud. Official records show that this impersonating account contacted at least five 'non-State Department personnel', including a governor and a congressman. During the fraudulent activity, the impersonator attempted to gain the trust of the targets by leaving voice messages and sending text invitations, with the aim of 'gaining information or accounts'.
