According to TechFlow news on July 10, Cointelegraph reported that Uzbekistan's national payment system HUMO announced the issuance of a government bond-backed cryptocurrency through its subsidiary HUMO Digital. The token has been registered in the unified electronic cryptocurrency asset registration system maintained by the National Project Office of Uzbekistan (NAPP) and is overseen by the Asterium crypto custodian responsible for the collateral and secure custody of the tokens. HUMO tokens offer instant automatic fiat currency conversion, no intermediary delays, lower transaction costs, and complete transparency and security based on blockchain technology. As a national payment system with over 35 million issued cards, HUMO aims to attract foreign investment, simplify business payments, and enhance financial transparency through this project. The system has established direct relationships with global payment systems such as Visa, MasterCard, and UnionPay, and is actively expanding integration with multiple countries, including Georgia and Kazakhstan.
