My 8.6 months in the crypto world felt like a wild roller coaster ride.
Initially, I was drawn in by the myth of 'getting rich overnight,' and I entered the market with a capital of 10,000. In the early days of the bull market, I was incredibly lucky; my assets doubled in just a few weeks, and I thought I was a genius. I began trading contracts and chasing meme coins, going all-in with 50x leverage, but a sudden crash wiped me out completely. Unwilling to accept defeat, I borrowed from online lenders to increase my stakes, only to incur even greater losses, ultimately losing everything and ending up in debt.
These 8.6 months taught me that there are no shortcuts in the crypto world, only survivor bias. High returns come with high risks; leverage is a devil; emotions are the greatest enemy. Now, I am back to reality, but this experience has given me a deeper understanding of investing and human nature—I learned that wealth must be earned through knowledge, not gambled on luck.
I also wish Binance a happy 8th anniversary.
