🇨🇳 China is building a large AI center in the desert region of Xinjiang.

They plans to use over 115,000 Nvidia chips for it, despite the US export ban. According to Bloomberg, the country already has about 25,000 of these chips, but that’s only enough for a medium-sized center.

There is no confirmation yet that China has managed to stockpile the required number of chips, but construction is ongoing.
