The famous launchpad platform on Solana – Pump.fun – will start selling its private tokens on July 12, according to leaked information from the Bybit exchange. Specifically, this morning (July 9), Bybit Ukraine's X account accidentally posted a notice (now removed), revealing a notable detail: European users will not be able to participate in this sale.
A user in the official Telegram group of Bybit Ukraine, holding the title 'Ambassador', named Andriy, shared that this announcement was actually scheduled to be published at 14:00 UTC (21:00 Vietnam time), but was posted earlier than planned.
In Telegram, only administrators can grant titles to members. Andriy confirmed that the details in the deleted post and the screenshots being circulated were accurate at the time of posting, but everything could still change before official information is released.
According to the leaked post, the PUMP token sale will start at 5 PM on July 12. The post did not specify the time zone, but since it originated from the Ukraine group, it could be in local EET (Eastern European Time). The sale is expected to end after 3 days, on July 15, and the tokens will be distributed within 48 hours after the end.
The post also stated that the price of the PUMP token in this sale is $0.004, with a total supply of 150 billion tokens and a maximum purchase limit of $500,000 per person.
However, the detail that has the Pump.fun community buzzing is that users in Europe cannot participate in this sale. It is currently unclear whether this ban applies only to Bybit or if it is a general policy for the entire PUMP token sale.
It should also be noted that Pump.fun is currently not available in the UK, following a warning from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Bybit is the second exchange to accidentally leak information about the PUMP token sale. Earlier, on Tuesday, Gate.io also posted a detailed page about the $600 million sale but quickly removed it. The content on Gate.io matched Bybit's post, except it did not mention the restrictions on European users.
