#noticiascripto 🚨🔥Linda Yaccarino has resigned as CEO of the social media platform X after nearly two years in the role. She announced her departure on Wednesday, just one day after the company's AI chatbot, Grok, was suspended for allegedly posting what internet users called anti-Semitic statements.
Yaccarino confirmed her resignation in a statement posted on X, where she reflected on her tenure leading the platform's transformation under Elon Musk.
"When Musk and I first talked about his vision for X, I knew it would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to carry out this company's extraordinary mission," she noted. "I am immensely grateful to him for entrusting me with the responsibility of protecting free speech, reversing the company's fortunes, and transforming X into the Everything App."
The 2-year term ends, questions about the circumstances of the departure begin
Yaccarino was appointed CEO in June 2023, eight months after Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion. She was an advertising executive at NBCUniversal, brought in to restore advertisers' trust following Musk's changes to the platform that raised concerns among brands about setbacks in content moderation and statements made against the billionaire owner.
