#SECETFApproval The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is likely to start approving altcoin-based ETFs in early Q4 2025. This was stated by Bloomberg Intelligence expert James Seyffart.

According to the analyst, the SEC will postpone decisions on most applications, primarily for spot XRP-ETFs, in the near future, as an interim deadline is approaching for them. Seyffart's forecast suggests that the Commission will begin approving them no earlier than the end of June or early July, which is the earliest timeframe.

However, the more likely scenario is the beginning of Q4 of this year, according to the expert. This is due to the fact that the SEC often spends "all the allotted time" reviewing applications, and the final deadline for most of them will come in October.

Seyffart also reiterated Bloomberg Intelligence's forecast that the Commission will first approve products based on Litecoin (LTC). In comparison, there are few such applications for XRP-ETFs — three, from Grayscale Investments, CoinShares, and Canary Capital.
