TON Foundation Clarifies Its Golden Visa Staking Program 🇦🇪🔍

The TON Foundation has responded to confusion surrounding its recently announced 10-year UAE Golden Visa initiative. In a blog post, the team clarified that the program is not an official partnership with the UAE government, but rather an independent collaboration with a licensed partner specializing in blockchain and tokenized assets.

They emphasized:

“No official Golden Visa program has been launched in partnership with the UAE government, nor has TON received any governmental endorsement.”

The program initially offered investors a chance to apply for a UAE Golden Visa by:

Paying a $35,000 application fee

Staking $100,000 worth of Toncoin for three years

However, TON now clearly states that applying doesn’t guarantee a visa; final approval is entirely up to the UAE government.

This clarification comes after UAE authorities denied involvement, and crypto leaders like former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao raised concerns about misleading messaging. CZ pointed out the confusion between simply submitting an application and qualifying for a visa, stressing how such miscommunication can impact market trust and TON's credibility.

TON has since updated the original webpage to reflect the correct information. #SECETFApproval #tonecoin
