Foresight News reports that the UK's HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) will require users to provide certain information related to their digital asset activities to service providers starting January 1, 2026, or face a fine of up to £300 ($408). Users must provide their full name, date of birth, address, country/region of residence, and tax identification number. This requirement applies to users' transactions with all cryptocurrency service providers, including exchanges, wallet applications, NFTs, and marketplace services.
