Protocol and technical milestones
On-chain activities
Taiko's growth has been exponential, processing over 847 million transactions in the past 12 months, including over 150 million transactions completed in Q2. The network's user activity is exceptionally high, with over 2.5 million unique wallet addresses created and an average of 289,000 daily active users.

Pacaya hard fork launched
The Pacaya hard fork has been activated on the Alethia mainnet, introducing batch-based proofs and multiproof. Batch-based proofs group multiple transactions into a single proof, reducing computational overhead, while multiproof allows for parallel generation of proofs, improving efficiency. This upgrade is crucial for pre-confirmations, enhancing proof system efficiency and supporting faster transaction processing.
Pre-confirmations on Hekla
Pre-confirmations have been launched on the Hekla testnet, achieving ultra-fast transaction finality of about 2 seconds. Pre-confirmation provides early assurance of block inclusion, reducing Ethereum's approximately 12-second block wait time.

DAO
The DAO soft-launched on May 1, 2025, with the security committee operational and proposal infrastructure in place. Once pre-confirmations are live, a full mainnet launch will occur, at which point the community will be able to submit proposals directly for security committee review. This marks a key step towards transparent, community-driven governance, with stakeholders actively shaping the protocol's future.

Ecosystem and partnerships
TAIKO listed on Binance
TAIKO has officially launched on Binance Futures, bringing deeper liquidity and greater access to the Taiko ecosystem. This listing allows users to trade leveraged TAIKO perpetual contracts, marking a significant milestone in Taiko's global expansion.

Fabric & Commit-Boost collaboration
Taiko collaborated with Fabric and Commit-Boost to develop pre-confirmation-based validator tools and standards. This collaboration focuses on creating interoperable protocols that ensure the security and efficiency of pre-confirmations. Standardization enhances ecosystem cohesion, reduces fragmentation, and promotes adoption.

Looking ahead
The past quarter has been incredible, but in many ways, Taiko is just getting started. As we move into the remainder of 2025 and beyond, we will continue to focus on several core priorities that will shape the future of the protocol:
Pre-confirmations
Our top priority is to activate pre-confirmations on the mainnet, with plans to launch this feature this summer. This upgrade will provide users with near-instant transaction confirmations for everyday use cases without compromising decentralization or neutrality.
DAO empowerment
With Taiko DAO now live, we are preparing for a hard launch of DAO governance following the activation of pre-confirmations. The next phase will fully transfer decision-making power over upgrades, protocol parameters, and treasury management to the community. As we move towards deeper decentralization, on-chain voting and open proposal discussions will play an increasingly important role.
Gwyneth development
Work on Taiko Gwyneth (our synchronous composable boost rollup) continues. Following successful demonstrations and ULTRA TX implementation from Q1 to Q2, the boost feature has been successfully implemented. Gwyneth support has been added to Foundry for easy testing and deployment of cross-chain applications. Next steps include launching a developer-focused Devnet to gather feedback and prepare for a public testnet launch later this year.
Community growth
Our incredible community remains at the core of Taiko. Programs like Trailblazers, Taiko Takeoff, and Taiko Status will evolve with new challenges, rewards, and participation opportunities.
We are committed to creating more pathways for people to contribute and be recognized—whether you are a developer, researcher, content creator, or simply an active user.
Events and ecosystem impact
Looking ahead, you will find us at major Ethereum events, including KBW, DevConnect, TOKEN2049, ETHGlobal hackathons, and more community-driven gatherings as we expand our influence across the ecosystem.

Thank you to our community
None of this progress would be possible without you (our global community of developers, users, and supporters). Your feedback, energy, and belief in our mission fuel everything we've built so far.
Whether you've been testing on early testnets, helping shape governance, or simply spreading the word, thank you for being part of this journey. We are just getting started.
