TONCOIN $TON and the embarrassing promise: GOLDEN VISA of the United Arab Emirates?
As if it weren't enough for YouTubers and influencers to promote tokens with unattainable promises, now Toncoin comes to lose credibility just for a momentary "pump".
TONCOIN stated that candidates who staked $100,000 in TON for three years and paid a one-time processing fee of $35,000 would be eligible for a 10-year golden visa in the United Arab Emirates.
The token rapidly appreciated by 10%, reaching $3.03 on Sunday, shortly after TON made such claims.
However, the price gave back some of the gains shortly after the news agency of the Emirates published a joint statement from several regulatory bodies denying the promise made by TON.
The temporary use of hype to inflate the token and the risk of permanent damage to reputation: Investors who believed in the offer were harmed by unrealistic expectations.
