NEW - German AI defense startup Helsing will invest £350m to build a factory in Plymouth, UK, to produce mini-submarine drones. The facility will be part of a "national centre of marine autonomy" and the first of the UK’s “resilience factories” to boost defense production in "crises."

Helsing's largest investor is Spotify's founder Daniel Ek and some of its senior management have experience working at top tech firms like Palantir Technologies and Meta.
