Foresight News reports, according to CoinDesk, that Volkswagen's autonomous driving subsidiary ADMT is using the Solana ecosystem DePIN project Hivemapper's Bee Maps to obtain real-time map data to enhance autonomous driving operations. Street-level images collected by Bee Maps contributors using Hivemapper cameras will be used to help validate Volkswagen's autonomous driving technology, improving the roadside accuracy of autonomous pickups.
Bee Maps is built on the Hivemapper network, where contributors will receive cryptocurrency rewards. AI then processes the images to detect signs, construction areas, and closed lanes, ensuring that the data remains up-to-date.
