Trump announced letters regarding the introduction of #пошлин concerning several countries
US President Donald Trump published on the social network Truth Social letters notifying about the introduction of new import tariffs starting August 1, 2025. They concern at least six countries:
🇯🇵 Japan — 25%
🇰🇷 South Korea — 25%
🇰🇿 Kazakhstan — 25%
🇲🇾 Malaysia — 25%
🇱🇦 Laos and 🇲🇲 Myanmar — 40%
🇿🇦 South Africa — 30%
In total, according to the White House, similar letters will be sent to over a dozen countries. Which ones specifically have not yet been disclosed.
On the same day, press secretary Caroline Levitt announced that Trump will sign an order in the evening to extend the deadline for trade agreements from July 9 to August 1.
