Telegraph: Trump's tariffs against BRICS countries will not affect Russia's economy.
If Trump continues to impose new tariffs against BRICS countries, the consequences for U.S. trade policy and global influence could be profound and not as positive as Trump imagines. First of all, new tariffs will not lead to a significant weakening of the economies of Russia and Iran,
— states the publication The Telegraph.
The publication notes that high prices on goods from the bloc countries will, on the contrary, accelerate Russia's achievement of internal production goals.
Earlier, Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social that additional trade tariffs of 10% would be imposed on any country supporting the 'anti-American' BRICS policy.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, in turn, stated that BRICS was never built against anyone; it is a union of states that work with each other's interests in mind.
