A woman from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu threatened to bomb 21 locations out of unrequited love.
According to Indian media reports, 30-year-old Reni Josheilda from Chennai is a robotics engineer and works as a senior consultant at a prestigious firm.
The police stated that the person Reni had unrequited love for recently married someone else, and after the marriage, her feelings allegedly turned into revenge.
The woman, in a fit of emotions, began sending fake threatening emails to bomb various schools, hospitals, and public places in 12 different states, attempting to blame the aforementioned person whom she allegedly loved unilaterally.
According to the police, the woman sent emails to institutions in 12 states, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Tamil Nadu, some of which referenced real incidents such as the Air India accident and VIP movement.
The viral emails also included the name of the person who had rejected the woman's love, misleading the police force and causing widespread panic among citizens.
According to the police, the woman tried to hide her identity using fake email accounts, virtual numbers, and VPNs.
However, access to the woman was possible when she accidentally logged in to both her original and fake email IDs from the same device, which revealed her IP address to us.
