New tariffs from August 1. Trump informed leaders of 14 countries about the increase in import tariffs ranging from 25–40%, depending on the country: Japan, South Korea, Malaysia - 25%; Laos and Myanmar - maximum 40%.

Postponement of the launch. The tariffs were supposed to come into effect earlier, but Trump extended the pause until August 1 to give countries time to negotiate.
