#TrumpTariffs
Trump has reimposed a series of retaliatory tariffs on key U.S. trading partners, starting from August 1, 2025. These tariffs include a 25% duty on imports from Japan and South Korea, with additional levels reaching up to 40% on goods from countries such as Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and South Africa.
Trump also threatened to impose an extra 10% tariff on countries that ignore his policies and align themselves with BRICS orientations.
These measures come after the negotiation deadline was extended from July 9 to August 1, with more than 12 official warning letters sent. The declared aim is to protect American workers and reduce the trade deficit, while experts warn of negative impacts on markets, such as a drop in U.S. stocks and increased inflation.
