‏Trump: "Elon Musk has become like a train off the tracks, and forming a new party is ridiculous"

US President Donald Trump described Elon Musk's plans to establish a new political party as "ridiculous" on Sunday, reaffirming his commitment to the success of the existing party system in the United States.

Trump told reporters before leaving New Jersey aboard Air Force One: "I think it's ridiculous to start a third party. We have had tremendous success with the Republican Party. The political system in America has always been two-party, and starting a third party adds to the confusion. Third parties have never succeeded."

He added in a post on his platform "Truth Social": "It's sad to see Elon Musk completely out of control. He has become like a train off its tracks over the past five weeks."

Trump indicated that Musk is unhappy because the measure signed by Trump to become law on Friday removes green energy credits for Tesla electric vehicles.
