#TrumpTariffs 💢The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced on Sunday night through his account on Truth Social the beginning of a new phase in the country's international trade policy, revealing that the "Tariff Letters" -and/or tariff agreements- will be sent to various countries around the world starting at noon this Monday, July 7. I am pleased to announce that the letters and/or tariff agreements of the United States with several countries around the world will be delivered starting at 12:00 P.M., Monday, July 7," Trump wrote.

However, the announcement came with a strong warning directed at countries that maintain close ties with the Brics bloc (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, along with its new members). Any country that aligns with the anti-American policies of Brics will be charged an additional tariff of 10%. There will be no exceptions to this policy. The tightening of trade measures occurs amid an international scenario of increasing tension between the United States and the nations that make up Brics and Brics+, a group that collectively represents nearly 40% of global GDP and groups nearly half of the world's population.
