#TrumpTariffs
Trump says that this Monday he will start announcing tariffs for the rest of the world, which will take effect on August 1
The deadline for negotiations ended on July 9, but the president of the US has assured that the letters, with or without agreement, will begin to be sent this Monday at noon (6:00 PM Spanish peninsular time), and, as he has said, there will be a 10% tariff for countries that align with the BRICS –Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa–
This Monday, the letters from the White House will start to go out. “The letters and/or tariff agreements of the US with various countries around the world will be sent starting at 12:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Monday, July 7,” the US president announced Sunday night on Truth Social
The tariffs approved on the famous liberation day of April 2, which are still pending judicial resolution, had until July 9 for negotiation. And that deadline ends next Wednesday, but starting this Monday, according to Donald Trump, the conditions applied for the rest of the world will begin to be communicated, beyond some agreements already announced, such as those with the United Kingdom and Vietnam, for example.
