Japan-based Metaplanet has added 2,205 more bitcoin to its balance sheet, raising its total holdings to 15,555 BTC, according to a new filing on Monday.
The latest acquisition, part of the company’s ongoing Bitcoin Treasury strategy, was made at an average price of 15.64 million yen per $BTC , amounting to roughly 34.49 billion yen (about $213 million).
As of June 30, Metaplanet reported a $BTC yield of 95.6% for the quarter, down from the previous quarter’s impressive 309.8%. The yield reflects changes in bitcoin holdings per fully diluted share.
This latest move brings the firm’s total BTC investment to 225.82 billion yen (approximately $1.38 billion), with a blended average purchase price of 14.52 million yen per bitcoin.
