#MuskAmericaParty
The richest man in the world, Elon Musk, after his public feud with U.S. President Donald Trump, announced the creation of a new political party aimed at challenging the long-standing dominance of Republicans and Democrats in American politics.
"In a 2 to 1 ratio, you want a new political party, and you will get it," Musk wrote after polling his readers on his platform X. "Today, the Party of America is formed to give you back your freedom," he continued.
As of Saturday, the U.S. Federal Election Commission had not published any documents indicating the registration of a new party.
Musk had verbally and financially supported Trump during the campaign and at the beginning of the Republican's second term. However, he later distanced himself from the Trump administration, stepped down as head of the team he created, the 'Department of Government Efficiency' (which is not a real department in the formal sense of the word), and later engaged in a fierce exchange with the president himself on social media over the new budget.
