After solidifying its influence in 2023 and 2024, GM Vietnam — Vietnam Blockchain Week enters a new chapter characterized by greater ambition, expanded scale, and the spirit of Southeast Asia's next-generation builders. To commemorate this evolution, SSI Digital (SSID), the digital asset division of Vietnam's largest securities company SSI Securities, has partnered with Kyros Ventures, the founding organizer of GM Vietnam. This strategic alliance merges two leading brands, 'GM Vietnam' and 'Vietnam Tech Impact Summit (VTIS)', into a flagship event: GM Vietnam - Vietnam Blockchain Week.
GM Vietnam 2025 will be held for the first time in Hanoi, scheduled for August 1-2 at the National Convention Center. Legal Progress on Digital Assets
Vietnam has recently advanced digital asset regulation, highlighting the government's commitment to a clear legal framework to support industry growth. In October 2024, the government announced the (National Strategy for Blockchain Technology Development), planned for implementation in 2025. This roadmap outlines goals to strengthen domestic infrastructure and position Vietnam as a regional leader in blockchain adoption.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly has begun reviewing the (Digital Technology Industry Law), which introduces key legal definitions for digital assets and proposes pilot projects for digital asset exchanges in major financial centers like Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. Additionally, the government has issued directives to complete a comprehensive legal framework for digital assets (including virtual assets and service providers) by May 2025. These regulatory developments will be a focal point at Vietnam Blockchain Week 2025, providing attendees with timely insights into Vietnam's rapidly evolving legal and policy environment.
