#MuskAmericaParty Elon Musk has officially launched the America Party in July 2025, a new political formation aiming to break away from the traditional bipartisan system in the United States. The announcement came after a poll on his platform X, where over 65% of the 1.2 million voters supported the creation of a new political party.

The initiative arises amid a public split with Donald Trump, after Musk harshly criticized the budget law signed by the president. Musk, who had been a key ally of Trump and even led the Department of Government Efficiency, resigned in May and began to distance himself from the administration due to disagreements over public spending, green subsidies, and fiscal priorities.

The America Party does not seek to compete directly for the presidency, as Musk is not eligible for the position due to being born outside the United States. Instead, its strategy is more tactical: to secure between 2 and 3 seats in the Senate and 8 to 10 in the House of Representatives. With such tight legislative margins, that presence would be sufficient to become a decisive bloc in key votes.

Musk has described the current system as a “false democracy” dominated by a single party disguised as two, and promises that the America Party will restore freedom to citizens. Although it has not yet been formally registered with the Federal Election Commission, the movement has already generated a strong media and political impact, with intense reactions from both Republicans and Democrats.

This new chapter in Musk's political life could redefine the balance of power in Washington and open the door to a disruptive third force in Congress.
