According to Deep Tide TechFlow news on July 7, the UAE Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), and the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) issued a joint statement denying claims circulating online that the UAE is issuing golden visas to cryptocurrency investors. VARA pointed out that TON has neither obtained VARA approval nor is it under its regulation.
ICP clarified that the issuance of golden visas has a clear official framework and standards, which do not include cryptocurrency investors. Eligible categories include real estate investors, entrepreneurs, outstanding talents, scientists and experts, excellent students and graduates, humanitarian pioneers, and frontline workers.
Three institutions jointly call on the public to obtain accurate information through official channels and warn against believing unverified advertisements or offers online.
