🧠 From Doubt to Decentralized: The Story of a Converted Skeptic

For years, I viewed cryptocurrencies as digital smoke: speculation, memes, and empty promises. Every news story about scams and volatility reinforced my skepticism. "Money without backing? Finance without banks? That sounds like science fiction," I used to say.

But something changed last year.

A relative showed me how DeFi (Decentralized Finance) works, not as an investment, but as a financial revolution. I discovered that behind the tokens were smart contracts, autonomous communities, and protocols designed to function without intermediaries. I learned about Ethereum, how Uniswap allows global exchanges without depending on banks, and how Aave enables programmed and transparent lending.

What impacted me the most was not the economic performance, but the concept:

"Here you don’t trust people… you trust the code."

Today I use DeFi to save, participate in DAOs, and read about chains like Solana or Arbitrum. My perspective changed thanks to education. His skepticism was the engine that made him research, and that knowledge was the gateway.
