What’s the reason behind this? It’s because the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced that it will offer a 10-year Golden Visa to TON stakers.
These stakers must lock up at least $100,000 worth of TON for a staking period of 3 years.
After the three-year period, stakers will be able to withdraw their funds, but the visa will remain valid for the full 10 years. Additionally, the UAE authorities are expected to provide special rewards or benefits to these participants.
The announcement was made today by Max Crown, the head of the TON blockchain, who added that this is just one of several key developments agreed upon with the UAE government.
