This bill repealed several provisions set by the Biden administration to reduce energy consumption and eliminated tax incentives for purchasing electric vehicles, which is unfavorable for Tesla CEO Musk. On June 30, Musk stated that if the bill passed, he would establish a new political party the next day. On July 4, Trump signed the bill into law, and Musk immediately initiated a vote on whether to establish "The America Party." Among approximately 1.249 million voters, 65.4% were in favor. Thus, Musk announced the establishment of "The America Party" the following day.
