The main idea of the HODL strategy is based on **faith in the long-term potential** growth of selected assets (for example, Bitcoin, Ethereum). Advantages include: **simplicity** (there's no need to constantly monitor the market), avoidance of stress and mistakes associated with frequent trading, as well as potentially **significant profits** over a horizon of several years.
