PANews, July 6th - According to Decrypt, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of India has arrested a 35-year-old engineer from Kerala named Edison, who is suspected of operating the country's largest darknet drug trafficking organization and using Monero to conceal transactions. Indian authorities seized over $82,000 in cryptocurrency during Operation 'MELON'. For the past two years, the suspect has been operating the darknet drug trafficking gang under the alias 'Ketamelon'. It is alleged that Edison sourced drugs from global suppliers, laundered the proceeds using the privacy coin Monero (XMR), and transported the drugs throughout India.
