Raising the sword and presenting the blessed head in the court of Allah the Almighty was not for the sake of power, but to implement the commands of Islam. The high status of the Imam was established forever through four connections: the grandson of the Messenger, the beloved son of the pure lady, the son of the Lion of God, and the chief of Paradise, the Master of Martyrs.

It became the most heartbreaking, instructive, and faith-inspiring event in Islamic history. The grandson of the Messenger ﷺ, Imam Hussein, made a great sacrifice along with his family in the battlefield of Karbala to uphold the religion of Islam and raise the word of truth against falsehood. This day is not just a historical event but a day that highlights patience, steadfastness, selflessness, and the distinction between truth and falsehood.

Even before Islam, the 10th of Muharram was considered a sacred day. On this day, Prophet Moses and the Israelites were saved from Pharaoh. When the Prophet ﷺ saw the Jews fasting in Medina, he said, "We have more right to Moses," and he himself fasted and commanded Muslims to do the same. Later, this day became forever distinguished in Islamic history due to the great sacrifice of Karbala.

Yazid's style of governance was based on tyranny, oppression, and immorality. Imam Hussein made the decision to stand against the false system by raising his sword and refusing allegiance. His goal was not power, but the survival of the religion, to uphold the banner of truth, and to awaken the Ummah for the word of truth.

On the 10th of Muharram, 61 AH, the army of Imam Hussein and his 72 loyal followers stood firm against thousands of Yazidi soldiers in the battlefield (Karbala). The patience and steadfastness displayed by Imam Hussein in the face of hunger, thirst, the cries of children, and the scorching ground of the tents is an unparalleled chapter in the history of humanity.

.Imam Hussein taught us through his martyrdom that compromise with falsehood is not possible, even if it means sacrificing one's life. If it requires giving one's life to protect the religion of our grandfather, then one must not hesitate.

.The Imam and his loyal followers endured immense oppression, thirst, and heat without uttering a complaint and taught us that we should rise above sectarianism to uphold the religion and support the oppressed. However, it is unfortunate that we have turned the Day of Ashura into merely a day of mourning or shedding tears, and we don't even deem it worthy to perform prayers, even though this day is meant to shake our conscience. It teaches us to recognize our role in the battle between truth and falsehood. Imam Hussein is still alive today; his thought is alive, and his message is alive: "I consider death to be a blessing and living with Yazid to be humiliation." We should make this day not just a day of mourning but a day of renewing our pledge that we will stand with the truth, rise against falsehood, and will never remain silent in the face of oppression. And we will strive for the implementation of Islam in Pakistan. O Allah, send blessings upon our master Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad, and grant peace. Glory be to Allah and praise Him, glory be to Allah the Most Great.
