$DOGE Glauber Contessoto
Glauber Contessoto, known as "SlumDoge Millionaire", was born into a poor Brazilian family. In pursuit of the "American Dream", his family moved to the USA but never managed to escape poverty. Before getting into trading, Contessoto worked at a music company. In 2021, he learned about Dogecoin (DOGE) on Reddit.
Inspired by tweets from Elon Musk, in February 2021, Contessoto sold his stocks, took a margin loan on Robinhood, and invested all his savings in DOGE. His investment amounted to $250,000. In April of the same year, the price of the meme coin skyrocketed, causing the young investor's portfolio to reach $3 million.
"I seem to be the first DOGE millionaire of 2021. This happened on April 15 at 6 PM," wrote Contessoto.
However, soon after, his fortune decreased tenfold due to the drop in DOGE's value. Contessoto did not sell his assets, believing in the potential of the "meme" coin and adhering to the philosophy that unrealized losses are not losses until you sell. By 2024, his positions had risen again.
