1. FOMO

2. FUD

3. GM

4. NGMI

Not Gonna Make It (you definitely won’t make a profit)

The crypto community's hierarchy of disdain, used to mock players who don't understand the market.

Example: "You FOMO'd at the top and went all in, bro, NGMI."

5. WAGMI

We’re All Gonna Make It (we will definitely make a profit)

A self-comforting slogan in the crypto community, used to boost morale during setbacks.

Example: "Don’t be afraid, WAGMI, bottom fishing relies on faith."

6. REKT

wrecked (exploded, liquidated, crushed)

A term used for a severe defeat in the crypto community.

Example: "I got liquidated last night, I was directly REKT."

7. DeFi

Decentralized Finance

One of the hottest tracks in the crypto world, involving yield farming, staking, and lending all within DeFi.

Example: "The DeFi yield farming army is about to rush into new projects again."

8. Degen

Degenerate (heavy speculators in the crypto community)

Jumping into anything, gambling on everything, usually not looking at the project but just the charts.

Example: "I’m a Degen, I don’t care about fundamentals, I just go for it."

9. Ponzinomics

Ponzi Economics (Ponzi structure in the crypto space)

Crypto projects rely on those behind to support those in front; without sustained funding, they collapse.

Example: "This project is clearly Ponzinomics, don’t go and warm it up."

10. Rug

Carpet Pull (instant zero and run)

Liquidity is drained, and the project suddenly disappears.

Example: "Be careful not to get Rugged, this kind of project is too dangerous."

11. Farm

Mining, liquidity mining, yield farming.

Earning coins through on-chain staking, exchanging liquidity for rewards, collectively referred to as Farming.

Example: "This platform has a good APY, we can go Farm for a bit."

12. VC Dump

Venture Capital Dump (institutional sell-off after the project goes live)

Quick sell-off and arbitrage after big capital investment.

Example: "We are now in the VC Dump phase, don’t jump in to catch falling knives."

13. TVL

Total Value Locked

An important metric for measuring the scale of DeFi projects.

Example: "The project's TVL has surged, it’s starting to look promising."

14. FDV

Fully Diluted Valuation

The theoretical market value after all tokens of the project are released.

Example: "FDV is too high, over-issuance later can easily crash it."

15. On-chain

On-chain (native interaction on the blockchain)

On-chain data, on-chain transactions, on-chain users collectively referred to as On-chain.

Example: "The project's on-chain data is explosive, there are many real players."

16. Paper Hands

Paper Hands (soft hands, sells as soon as the price drops)

Players who panic sell easily.

Example: "Don’t be a Paper Hands, be more mindful."

17. Diamond Hands

Diamond Hands (holding without selling, firmly believing until the end)

The ultimate image of a believer in the crypto community.

Example: "I'm ALL IN Diamond Hands, let's WAGMI together!"

18. Flip

Short-term speculation (buying and selling very quickly)

Quickly buying in and quickly selling to make a profit.

Example: "This coin is suitable for flipping, not for the long term."

19. Bagholder
